Cello

Maria Orlowska is a Polish cellist graduating this summer from the Advanced Postgraduate Diploma programme at the RCS.

Her musical foundation was shaped at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where she completed her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in cello performance.

A laureate of solo and chamber music competitions, she has performed internationally across Poland, the UK, Norway, Slovenia and Japan. Her notable appearances include solo performances of Dvořák’s Cello Concerto with orchestras in Tokyo and Bydgoszcz.

During her time at the RCS, Maria received First Prize in the Ian D. Watt Cello Award and took part in professional schemes with the Scottish Ensemble and the RSNO.
