
Lauren Jack
Violin
Lauren Azusa Jack is a violist from Wellington, New Zealand, where she studied under the tutelage of Gillian Ansell. She is now a Master’s student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying with Duncan Ferguson. Lauren particularly enjoys playing in chamber ensembles, in 2021/22 she was the violist of the Troubadour quartet as part of the Adam Chamber Festival, mentored by the Takacs Quartet and New Zealand String Quartet, and she recently enjoyed a week on the Isle of Mull as part of a quartet residency associated with Mendelssohn on Mull. She will be joining the Scottish Ensemble on tour later this year as a Young Artist. Alongside her career as a performer, Lauren is passionate about accessible music education, previously working for Sistema-inspired program Arohanui Strings and is currently a Benedetti Foundation Ambassador.
